Imagine a long day and you are plum worn out. The air is nippy, the stars are beginning to peek through the clouds, and you have a dinner engagement.
You really just want to go home, snuggle up, and shut out the world.
My travel tidbits continue with our recent trip to Eastern Europe.
My dinner engagement was with my husband/travel partner. We didn’t want to necessarily shut out the world but we were exhausted and famished.
Upon a recommendation from a friend, we chose to dine at Hergetova Cilhena along the Vltava river in Prague.
As we were being seated we were each offered a clean white blanket.
Imagine!
And this was the case at so many restaurants in Prague.
Dinner tasted extra good that night. Energy restored.
We returned to this restaurant several times. As I mentioned in my previous post, we find our favorite spots. The food, the location, and yes, the blankets.
The clean freak in me did have a moment, however. I wondered about the cleanliness factor. But, we actually witnessed the waitress pull out freshly cleaned and folded blankets. Spotless.
Now that takes cozy to a new level! Dining al fresco is redefined.

I just used a blanket in Prague too! Mine was navy blue. I was quite worried I’d spill on it, but don’t think I did. I did wonder how they keep the blankets so tidy. But I didn’t worry about germs that much. I figured not so bad as a bedspread or hotel blanket.
So fun! And they were so soft. It really is such a nice touch.
