Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere.
Big, burly, and bright. They have so much character.
October is a glorious time to be outdoors. The sun feels warm, the trees speak in colors, and orange rules.
I just returned from a visit to Wisconsin to see family. The countryside is breathtakingly gorgeous. Farms dot the rolling landscape.
Enjoy these fall photos from Maple Leaf Orchard. Apples, pumpkins, squashes, and mums. I had the best apple cider of my life!
How about eating some orange? Here is my easy and healthy pumpkin soup recipe.
I wish for you lots of outdoor time this month. Rain or shine. Being outdoors fills us up with fresh air and vitamin D. It grants us exquisite color therapy. Like the chipmunks and squirrels, we need to store up for the winter ahead!
October blessings to you!
***Pumpkins are full of fiber, pack a vitamin A, C, and potassium punch, keep your eyesight sharp, and are great for skin health. They contain amino acids that produce serotonin, which helps boost your mood, and are full of the antioxidant, beta-carotene, which could play a role in cancer prevention. Pumpkin seeds have chemical compounds that help reduce LDL, your bad cholesterol. What a colorful powerhouse!
You are right! Pumpkins have a lot of character. It’s like they can listen and think, even before they’re carved into jack-o-lanterns.
And it seems like there are new varieties out there now! Quirky ones. Do you miss pumpkin carving with your kids? I do!
And orange is the hot color this season on the runway 🙂
Oh wow…..How fun! Bright and cheerful! Thanks for sharing Jamie!
