It’s the first day of summer and that sure puts a smile on my face!
Not only do I want to wish you a safe and happy summer but I want to check in with you……
Are you eating lots of fresh vegetables and fruits? I hope so!
Here are a few good reasons why:
🍓It is the season to indulge. A full array of fruits and veggies are officially available! They can inspire our summer cooking.
🍓What we put into our bodies can affect our mood, our energy, and our physical health.
🍓Eating a nutrient-dense diet with a variety of colorful plant foods ensures we are getting all the beneficial phytochemicals and antioxidants to support our best health.
🍓Real foods in their simplest form make the most nourishing fuel for the body.
🍓Real and fresh foods are the easiest to digest. They are what our body is meant to digest. We excel at processing real food.
🍓The variety of colorful foods that Mother Nature provides allows for all the vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to function optimally.
🍓Many of these foods hydrate us as well.
🍓And it is just simple. Pop a grape, make a salad, roast some veggies, whip up a smoothie, bake a zucchini boat…..tons of options.
It is the perfect time to taste the rainbow!
Why not visit your local farmers market and see for yourself.
Fill up your basket with lots of goodies….. and have a healthy-happy summer!
