Easy New Habit # 3  Eat More!

Yes, I did say “Eat More”!  But now…….I will qualify my statement.

Eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat more foods that grow on plants and trees and from the soil.

These foods are nourishing and nutrient dense and full of vitamins, micronutrients, anti-oxidants, and phytochemicals.

They improve your immune function and give you energy.

They make your skin glow!

How often do you hear anyone, or yourself, say “eat more”?

Really, we can eat as many vegetables as we want. Wow. How fantastic is that?

And as an added bonus, I bet the more veggies you eat, the less unhealthy processed foods you will consume.

We are fortunate to have many fruits and veggies available to us in our grocery stores.

I challenge you to try one new fruit or veggie each week. Easy!

Expand your knowledge of the veggie world and try eating them in different ways and with new cooking methods. Eat them cooked or raw, in a smoothie or sautéed, roasted or baked, sprouted or fermented.

Fennel, bok choy, edamame, arugula, rutabagas, mangos in your salad, brussel sprouts in your quiche, mashed turnips, sweet potato fries, kale chips, wheat grass and sunflower shoots, beet greens and onions…….

Have you ever tried roasting lemon or orange slices with your vegetables?

Avocado mousse? Yes! Try this recipe:  Avocado Mousse Recipe

Most importantly, have fun! Cheers!
