Resolutions…or not?

I have mixed feelings about New Years goals and resolutions. In my personal experience, I would say maybe one out of ten acquaintances actually follow through with their resolutions.

More often we are left shoulders sagging with guilt or faces frowning with disappointment. Seems counter productive to me.

That is not to say that we shouldn’t be forward thinking, make attempts at self improvement, and be more disciplined.

How about on this new day of this new year we take a different approach.

How about we take a moment and consider what really matters to us. How do we spend our time? Consider these questions and how satisfied you are with the answers.

Then, make wishes.

Fun wishes, serious wishes, healthy wishes, silly wishes, practical wishes.

Focus on your wishes with all the positive energy you can muster up!

Days are on just one big continuum. Each day is a new chance.

I am sending you wishes for snow covered roses and all things ever green in 2018!

Resolutions…or not? — 4 Comments

  1. I love to make New Year’s resolutions, but I can only remember keeping my resolution once. I was writing a lot for Abingdon Press, and my goal was to work harder at night, which I did.

Course it’s not to late to keep this year’s!
